Our founder is a seasoned medical device professional with a drive and passion for helping clients research, identify and plan long-term strategic growth initiatives who has the ability to bridge the gap between market and business interests and technical development.

VALERIE L. GRAHN
Owner and Principal
Valerie Grahn has 16 years of medical device development experience, holding various positions within R&D, Product development, and Management. She has led an office of 20+ engineering professionals, commercially launched multiple products, and holds three patents. Her areas of expertise include, project management, upstream marketing, unmet needs investigation, market segmentation research, project planning from concept to commercialization, design control, and evaluation of technical and market concepts for business fit. She also has the ability to analyze and organize mass amounts of information into concise strategic recommendations for clients.
Valerie also has specific subject matter expertise in regards to soft tissue repair with both synthetic and biologic materials. While co-managing a biologics franchise she grew the new product development pipeline after providing technical and market assessments for new business development opportunities within hernia, vaginal repair, and breast surgery markets, by selecting the most appropriate projects to pursue. Additionally, she led a hiatal hernia commercialization project that resulted in a first to market launch of a hiatal hernia mesh product. With her experience in engineering and business, Valerie distills market and business information into recommendations that facilitate the technical development of a product.
Valerie holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Bryant University.
